Frequently Asked Questions
If you wish to or need to cancel we require 21 days advance notice prior to the start date of any session in question.
Without this 21 days notice we are not able to provide a refund.
If you do provide us with 21 days notice there will be a cancellation fee of $25 per week per child.
If your cancellation does not give us 21 days notice but is related to illness we will only be able to refund with a doctors note and if we are able to refill your spot prior to the start of the session in question.
We understand that health-related situations can come up suddenly and that this could impact your child’s ability to attend our program. With this in mind, we want to be sure that you register with a clear understanding of what registering with us means in the context of cancellations and refunds.
We can only transfer your registration to a future week that has space available in it as we are not able to provide any kind of refund for a last minute change due to illness. This kind of change to another week of the same camp year can only be done with a physician’s note as per our cancellation and refund policy.
We will try to put friends together in similar groups depending on ages and number of campers participating. Please put the name of the buddy that they would want to be with in our comment section during registration.
We do the very best that we can in this regard. Please ensure that you send your camper already set for a successful morning with sunscreen (pre-applied if possible) and bug spray. If you are not ordering our optional hot lunch please send a lunch and 2 snacks. Please label all of their belongings for us to easily identify any lost items.
We do have a snack shack and so you are welcome to send money along with your child(ren) for a treat that we sell here on site. Bringing money is not mandatory and not all campers participate in this part of what we have to offer. Some of the items we will be selling are freezies, chips, granola bars, marshmallow squares, and candy. We will be limiting children to only 1 sugary item a day.

No-we do not allow electronics at camp. If your camper brings a device from home and is not able to leave it alone during the camp day, we will ask your child to put the device in their backpacks or they can give it to us for safekeeping in our office. At Kidz Can Play, we have a proven and safe system in place for signing campers in and out. No camper leaves the premises without a parent or guardian signing them out. Parents are required to show official identification upon pickup if asked of their children and have to be on the list of authorized personnel. If you need to add somebody to the pick up list, please submit this in writing by emailing us at kidzcanplay@gmail.com
Kidz Can Play is not liable for any children until they are signed-in to our care by the parent or guardian or other authorized person listed on the authorization list.
If your camper needs one on one support you must email us on or prior to March 1 for Summer Camp or December 1st for March Break Camp in order to begin the process of finding support staff for your camper. If you miss this deadline, you will need to consider registration for the following year.
In all programs at Kidz Can Play Inc. the acquisition of skills and high-quality experiences are important. As such, we expect each camper to learn, and to have fun. Along with the teaching of skills, we will also teach, expect, and celebrate demonstration in sportsmanship, positive character, and respect for others. At the beginning of each program, the campers help us co-create a list of behavioural agreements that we will all adhere to for the duration of the camp program. Campers are expected to demonstrate basic respect for the dignity and rights of others. Camp Directors Chris Stilos and Peter-Chris Tsioros reserve the right to implement an established process and/or suspend and/or terminate the stay of any camper, without refund, who violates the camper Code of Conduct based on the following guidelines: zero tolerance of physical or psychological abuse/bullying; lack of respect for camp property and the property of others; behaviour that requires supervision beyond a reasonable level or behaviour deemed inappropriate by Kidz Can Play Inc. staff. Please remember that the rules and regulations exist to enable our programs/camps to run smoothly and create a safe and enjoyable environment for each and every child. Please take the time to review these expectations with your child(ren).
Kidz Can Play is dedicated to maintaining a safe and supportive environment in all of their programs and camps, which means we have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. In the event of an incident, the coach will meet with both the aggressor and victim after the first strike. Should a second strike occur, the aggressor may be separated from the group or given a different activity. If there is a third strike, the aggressor will be expelled from camp and any future Kidz Can Play Sports program. Extreme cases of bullying will not be subject to the three-strike rule and will result in immediate expulsion.
